Michael Pou is an Associate Broker of Talbot Realty Group specializing in commercial leasing, real estate transactions and real estate consulting. He began his career in commercial real estate in 1986, as a commercial property manager and leasing agent of office and retail portfolios across the Gulf South and became Executive Vice President of Latter & Blum Property Management, Inc. in 1995. For 19 years of Michael’s career, he was a Corporate Real Estate Executive for Whitney National Bank and IBERIABANK. At each he supervised staff of 20 to 30 employees and was responsible for over $300MM of real estate assets and over $50MM in annual capital spend. Michael has significant experience in ground-up developments, net sales transactions, sale/leasebacks, build-to-suit negotiations, and retail and office leasing. Michael is proficient in evaluating portfolios for large scale corporate acquisitions and sales.
As a real estate broker and consultant, Michael has coordinated single tenant developments pairing developers with tenant users and sold those assets as investment properties. He has assisted investors in 1031 tax deferred transactions and replacement properties and coordinated lease transactions as landlord and as tenant. Michael currently works with several corporate clients on their expansion needs as well as private client shopping center owners and tenant users.
Michael Pou has been a board member for Bridge House Grace House since 2018. As a board member he has consulted in the acquisition of its Grace House facility, a 2.5 acre property with capacity up to 60 beds on the Westbank of New Orleans. This resulted in the sale and closure of two facilities for one facility saving approximately $100,000 in net annual expenses. He was elected to serve as Chairman of the Board for calendar years 2026 and 2027. Michael also serves as real estate consultant and broker for New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity.
